Finally reached the 100,000mile mark this week with the Astra, the engine has done a few more than that but nevermind. 68,000 was what it had when l purchased back in January 2006 but l guess it's still pretty low considering the age. The missus says a birthday celerbration is in order!

I've always had a feeling of relief whenever one of my cars has tipped into six figures LOL, means there's less point keeping the mileage low! My record for an old Vauxhall is my old 1.2 litre Nova Antibes - 188,000 miles (still on original engine and box) before rust got the better of the shell
