I mounted mine, between the seat and the door, bolting the support to the floor.

Dont know if uk models have the chassis number also in the drivers side (right), like the left driver ones (that is in the passangers side).

I fitted mine to the centre consol on the passenger side.

It also stopped the glove box dropping open because the straps had broken.

When I had a fire extinguisher in my 8v GTE I put it between the driver's seat and driver's door fixing the clamp it sits in to the floor with self tapping screws.

A few months after fitting it some wiring in the engine bay caught light.

My mate disconnected the battery while a blitzed the wiring with the extinguisher. It prevented a lot of damage and the burnt wires were fixed soon after.
