Re: travelling
Went to NZ last year Baz, was there for nearly 7 weeks, I had a great time. I'm tied down due to my college work just now but once they're out the way I'll be doing some more travelling, its ace fun. Got some real good memories of just drifting from place to place and not really taking anything too seriously. Its better if your not on your own I'd say, saying that though, you soon meet up with people, which is what its all about really.

Re: travelling
4 of my best mates have just thrown in their jobs and taken of round Europe in a D reg Transit and a H reg Micra automatic LMAO! They're going to be away untill November, and one is planning on getting a job in the alps and learning to snowboard properly. Ive had a few texts of them and it sounds like I missed out big time by not going. I couldnt though, not a case of not wanting to.
Fancy doing it myself now really, perhaps a driving tour of europe next year I think.

Re: travelling
I did a bit of traveling in the USA a few years ago but went with the wrong person (my ex, she wanted to see too many places in the short time we had) still enjoyed it but this time i'd like to work out what I want to see and work out a route from there. I've wanted to see new zealand since watching the lord of the rings films...I couldn't believe how they were filmed in just one country so would like to spend some time there. Hong Kong and Japan i'd like to see too...
anybody got any other recommendations I'd like to hear them

Re: travelling
NZ all the way! Its their summer coming up now too. And fly with Emirates if you can, longest journey of my life (3 days) but I was really comfy with them, the new Airbuses they have are brilliant to travel in, and they gave me a free night in a hotel when we night stopped in Dubai, best of all - they were the cheapest. Lord of the Rings scenery will blow your mind mate! Here's some of my pics,
This pic always makes me smile, me and my cousin and an American dude who was a top laugh cruised all over South Island in our Toyota no name automatic bin that my cousin bought outside the airport in the car park! Ace. I was expecting to have to fix it at one point but it never missed a beat.

Fox Glacier, flowing into a rainforest!

Awesome place for water sports too!

Bungy Jumping is amazing, if you go to NZ you have to do one. Always thought I'd be scared, but once I looked over the edge I actually really wanted to jump! Got dunked in the water on that one!

Re: travelling
Read my caption edit! Before I went I didn't think I'd be that up for it, but NZ is the home of bungy and there's no better place to do one, and everyone you meet will talk about it at some stage, leaving you left out till you do one!Originally posted by BazW View Postnice pics...i'll pass on the bungee jumping tho
