What do you lot reckon to Lambo doors on my CAB. I had a look around the Calibra stand and saw two with lambo doors on, i think that they would look smart on mine???

I take it that you can get kits for mk2's then. I've only seen universal ones so far.

there was an ad on the back of a recent Total Vauxhall mag.

personally its not for me, tacky and theres better things to do with that sort of money.

plus all the stuff in your door pocket will fall on the floor when you open it!! LMFAO!

I would have thought that the A posts on the convertable are strong enough, as they already have the doors mounted on them. The same weight just in a different position?

i think lambo doors look wicked on some cars, i would of loved them on my calibra!

but im not on an astra, or any car that dosent have pillar-less doors.

Convertables don't have a frame around the top of the door, just like calibras.

i am at the mo fitting lambo doors to my astra mk2 what a job im having if your not a good welder dont even try it and you need to widen the wings out 2 inches for the hinge to have clearance take a look at this pic to get a fair idea of the work thats involved

you cant buy them for the mk2 astra u will need to get universal ones that weld on or bolt on but dont go for the cheap copys they will not take the weight of the door there are some decent ones on e-bay for about £1000 from america but make sure you put an extra £40 on top for the import duty as they dont tell you this when you buy them

I don't think this is one of the best mods for a mk2, subtle mods is the way forward I think, styling wise anyway. :)
