mum and dad got back from Greece last Thursday, and like any family living among a pile of M2 Astra bits they couldnt resist photographing a Kadette GSi for me..

yeh I was a bit gutted there wasn't a single Opel on out stand at the Retro show...

I might sell up and track one down...

or more pimp would be a Pontiac Le Mans...saw em in NZ.. Mark 2 astra folks.

The story goes on like this.

Here in Greece,when the astras (kadett here) where selling as new,the prices where too high because the government was taken too many tax's.
Anything over 1.2ccm was overpriced,and that is the reason that we was buying a 1.2 kadett and modificated them into 1.8 or 2.0 GSi.
The price of a new GSi Kadett was nearly twice as high as it where in Germany.

The same was going on with Golf's,Escort's,Ritmo's etc

My kadett was begining its life as a 1.2 GL model (it is a 5-Door) and it is a 2.0 8V now.

P.S. because my English are as good as my...Chinese,I dont know if you got my point exactly.
