Hi Guys & Girls, Just starting out on here thought i'd show you all a few pics of my mkII, there's obviously hundereds of pics from start to finish, so just picked out a few, here's what is shown for 6 months of blood, sweat and tears, oh and a unhealthy bank balance, but we'll not go into that, hope to see a few of you soon at the up & coming shows

yep two front wings, pass door skin, both complete sills, both rear quarters, both rear inner arches, both front arches & inner wings repaired, my old man is an ex panel beater/sprayer, found it abandoned by the roadside, had to rescue it, the colour is europa blue, as per the mk4 astra coupe's and cab's, wheels are 17's bk racing offset et45, rear arches rolled a little!!

Nice.
Pretty much decided I'll replace the whole quarter when I do the near side, especially after my adventures doing the offside quarter in four separate panels.
Good work, looks really nice.
I'd be interested in seeing some high res pics of the quarter without the panel in place though. ;)

so much easier to replace the whole quarter, yakes 30 mins to rip off once you've figuered out where to cut and where the spot welds are, hardest thing is finding them and getting everything to line back up, n/s one took 3 weeks shipped from the other side of the world by hadrians panels, but well worth it, means you can get to the inner arches and if the rear sills have gone then so will the stiffener piece inside the sill!! will dig out what photo's i've got and mail them on
It was abandoned at the side of the road?  With the valve lump in it as well?
Fair play mate, i have to say you have definitely gone to town on this bugger :D Its nice to see so much work gone in with such a nice outcome at the end. Always good to see a MK2 returned to such glory! :D

yep spotted it growing moss on it on a bit of waste ground by the side of the road, so left a note on it, saying basically do you want rid, phone call and 200 notes later i was towing it home (started first time mind once the battery had been charged) i'm not into new cars these days, looked around for a minter, nothing came up, so decided on a bit of a resto!! never looked back. I particulary like the looks that it gets, cos few people know what it is as there aren't that many on the roads these days, a numpty 9car park steward) at pvs didn't even know it was a vauxhall!!
