has been on the rolling road late last year and got 80bhp at aroung 5100rpm then went lean and they didnt take it much higher but i compaired to previour r/r graph and that had a dip at 5100rpm then picked up again. got 88lb/ft at 3600rpm.
max speed on the road an accurate 115mph.

yeah its very tidy for a mk2! had to have a bit of welding on sills done for mot. the arches, floors, under bonet, below back bumper etc. is mint! its done 98000miles and has fsh! my grandad owned it before me and bumped the front o/s wing, its been sprayed the lighter shade of rembrant silver, mine is yellower. it goes bloody well for a 1.4 aswell! might XE it next year when i can insure it!

I honestly thought that although all the wiring was there, the Mk2 never came with headlight adjusters. The Kadett's got the loom for them but the Twins rule out their use! mebbie I could use the adjuster for a fancy 3 way switch:rolleyes: Damn thats got me thinking!
I'll keep my eyes opem for adjusters, I'm heading for Pylle on friday, you could adapt Cav adjusters, I'll have a butchers at a friends cav and see if the adjusters could be made to fit:cool:

astrasteve23

yeah i have the loom, and i got a switch out of a mk3 astra
(fits straight in) i was told by someone on mig i need backing things of somethin then i can get motors off of a mk3 astra or whatever. just seeing if anyone has genuine lights before i mess about with mine. where u from mate? im nearish to pylle. i live between weston and burnham and work in cheddar.

Lol, I'm sure I can give you a ride in it, it was quite the attraction when I turned up at yours Brett! That was only the start of quite possibly the funniest motorway journey I've ever had, destroying that MR2 Turbo, dodging flying debris from your Cally and then getting rather lost somewhere near Birmingham!!!

it has been very well looked after, my grandad owned it for about 10 years, he allways kept it serviced but never got the book stamped and didn't keep invoices so there is no proof of having fsh but i know it has, its been stamped up before he owned it. it had to have a bit of welding done on the sills at the beginning of july, it has been primed but i need to get tham sprayed up soon! i took some pics of my rear arches yesterday, just starting to bubble ever so slightly on the n/s one, must do that soon too! i took the pics with my camera phone so not the best quality, i will add them to the others.

had the astra on the rollers at powerstation in cheltenham on saturday, got 79.5 bhp @ 6190rpm, 113mph in 4th, 78lb/ft of torque @ 3640rpm, 66mph in 4th, they took it up to 117mph@6430 in 4th! so it's def quicker that the vaux figure of 106mph! only had 39.5bhp @ wheels @ arround 5000rpm! quite pleased with the results tho! was a smooth curve. added a pic of the printout!
