We went on Sunday, planned to camp all weekend but the weather was rubbish so only went one day. First time i've met anyone from mig, they were friendly and helpful. TOMGTE won a prize for his car, it was by far the best mk2 on the mig stand. I'll have to tidy my car up a bit more to give him some competion ;) Weather on Sunday was pretty good considering Friday and Saturday. It was good meeting a couple of you in person.
We'll have to get a mk2 only club going so that we can get a stand there? :)

yeah, think we can arrange some backing if its suitable and allowed (so many arse rules to be followed it seems)

There was a bit of a poor show on the mk2 Astra front at Billing, didnt see any adverts for this website either,
Maybe next year!!, cant wait!!
I went and Im so glad I did, :D First time Ive been and I was really impressed with the size of the show and the quality of all the cars. Thanks for your comments GRAK and GTE16V , 2nd place in the show and shine comp. :cool: quick piccy :

Tom,
My Astra was the white 16v next to the silver Tigra on Mig on Sat,
(I asked you about the 16v badges!!)
Names and faces are gradually coming together!!!!

yes I was there, Spoke to Tom GTE and SBD 16v. My GTE was the Mistral Grey one with the red theme going on in the engine bay on the MIG stand.
It was good to see some really tidy MK2's there this year, came back with a few ideas for mine which is always nice.

i was there with brett parked next to him in my rembrant silver 1.4 5 door on mig stand. good show and it was a bargain the weather brightened up on sunday!
I remembered seeing both your cars there on Sunday, i took a picture of them together. Shall it post it? Both looked in really good condition.

i was there but there was a distinct lack of mk2 astras this year, although the ones there were nice, i was meaning to see tom gte , an ask him how his qshift was!
if anyone saw me i was there in the red vauxhall vivaro van hiding round the back, tom w wouldnt allow it on the stand lol.

i was there but there was a distinct lack of mk2 astras this year, although the ones there were nice, i was meaning to see tom gte , an ask him how his qshift was!

cheers for that photo mate. While there wasnt that much MK2 wise this year what was there was quality. I loved the E plater V6 on the VXLSCC stand, gorgeous. Tom GTE's car was stunning and I made a point of sating hi when I saw him polishing it.
did anyone else see the APPALING yellow mess by the trade stands? jesus wept!
I need to get on and fit my quickshift, bought it at PVS this year but my Gear linkage will not come apart no matter how much I try. Going to have to find a new F20 linkage and redo the whole lot.

I did have a Cavalier Turbo set up in it mate, along with the illuminted sun visors. I've gone back to manual now and sold all the sunroof bits. I could get you the bits from a Carton at my local breakers, I took it out as Im going to have to butcher the sunroof for my roll cage to go in.

TomGTE's mk2 was one of the nicest cars at billing i thought! and the yellow mess of a mk2 that brett mentioned was probably the worst car there! brett come over on wednesday and we can do bonets and ill have a look at your linkage, if i cant get it appart dad will think of a way!

Yep, I went to billing on Sunday, and as most people have said, there was a distinct lack of mk2's. Still it was a good show and all clubs put on good displays. I've never seen so many mantas in all my life though!! there was hundreds of the buggers.

Got my bonnet open mate. If im not picking up the Calibra seats then yeah mate will try to!
Some of the manta were awesome, V12 Jag Twin Turbo I heard off, a LET on TB's and some of the concors ones were immaculate. A couple of total rally slags thrown into the mix too. enough to make me go weak at the knees.

you were parked behind me! it was my first time there, and i wasnt that impressed. i got there about 8ish on the saturday morning, and left at 2:30. all the hype i'd heard about it, i was looking forward to it. i doubt i'll go next year. i prefered pv!

definatly, and it was cool that they had the 1/4 mile runs half way through the day, broke it us nicely....only bad thing was on the monday i was peeling....and on my face!! lol brilliant day none the less
