hi guys just started on this one first pics to show you have turbo engine which i am going to rebuild, that was in another gte before i rolled it!!
Have V6 brakes and engine should be running over 300bhp after build. The car has had a front and rear impact so have ordered parts and going to get fitted next week, this is the before.
What do you think of it?

i love that front bumper! i am undecided if i like the v-grille or not tho. iv seen a few on mk2 and think they look silly. i think that kit will look really goon on it! i dont like that huge vauxhall sun strip that is on the car!
Looking good chap. Plenty of work to keep you busy!

we cut out the front with angle grinder drill and hammer bolster. ready for the new slam and cross member.
while we were there we noticed some rust just starting so we skimmed it off and applyed same antirust to kill it

one problem discovered this morning was with the heavy rain last night the engine has taken a soaking which i did not take in to account when geting it .
is there a way off keeping the airflow but directing the water and damp away from the engine as when i put the turbo engine in would be good
or is there a thing to seal it when wet but can take off when dry and racing
Recognize the kit?

It is from PLR.
A bloke from Northampton makes it, thats where i got my kit from for my convertable.
I've still got his number if you want it.

Had a saxo Vtr in the garage last week and it had perspex fitted under the mesh on the bonnet to keep the water off of the engine. Not sure how you could keep the air flow though. HTH

engine out of car took head of and slid it out where the wheel well is
disconected all the wiring and tryed to note down where everything went to.
while i got the engine out thought i would put the car on a diet and loose some heavy stuff, so sound deadening off the bulk head
also discovered when i had a patch of rust under the right mount for the stearing anyone know what could have caused this

the engine bay was finally ready after being welded .
me and my mate did it so no chance off it pulling its self apart.
also got my bay sprayed as well.
after a week of putting the engine in thought i would put some pics up
wired in some
water injection, dump valve, moved the water bottle to the left side
and some eds phase 5 chips

i had to grind the lips of the of the front to fit the intercooler pipe work.
then the radiator was moved to the centre or the pipe had to drill the plate at the bottom.
cut the centre out of the bumper to fit over the intercooler

dare i say :o courteney sports
sorted out the gear linkage (replaced the plastic bit that pops on to the metal ball)
what a difference it has made
and a water pipe split so replaced that to
spent the day checking over everything to find out why it was missfiring and it had to be the simplist thing ever and it was!
boost pipe under the turbo had come off
so its running properly at last.
