just a random question,but just looking at another thread 1982 shell for sale! the oldest ive ever seen is a b reg. was there ever an a reg?

cheers just my mate had a b reg years ago and thats the oldest one ive ever seen,but wasnt sure if they made an earlier one! what was the last mk1 then a or b reg?

and the MK2 was B reg

Mk1 came out in April 1980, which would make it a V-reg, although I've only ever seen one on a V. Mk2 came out in October 1984 on a B-plate...

MK2 was launched in October 1984, on B reg.

Mk1 Astra is complicated. The Opel Kadette D was launched in the UK Before the Mk1 Vauxhall Astra. Officially it was launched in October 1980 making the first ones W reg, but there were V reg Kadette's. These Kadettes dont have a hatchback, the boot hinges below the rear windscreen.

yeah mine was 1985 slip on keyboard there. mine is a B reg and registered in 16 , 01 , 1985.

Gander had a B reg 1.8i GTE for a while, think it was dec 84.

probably the oldest GTE the club has known.

My rally car is b reg. Can't remember the excact chassis number but its less than 100. They used pre production cars to build the rally cars from. Maybe the earliest one around...?? It shows too. the shell is shafted

heres another one,,what was the last mark 2 registerd on?ive only ever seen a j plate hatch but im pretty sure i see an L reg mk2 cabriolet a couple of months back.
the mk2 must have been a great seller as they kept them in production far longer than any other astra!

Ive seen K reg cabrios and once an L reg Astramax Van.

Mk2 ran 7 years, like the MK3 (91-98)..
