One of the most mental things I've seen in a while! :) And I'm also wondering about the tilting! Bit of rust treatment needed there as well!

personally i wouldn't have my exhaust like that but its not my car! looks different.

me brett and a mate lifted a clio (without engine) onto its side to remove the exhaust and it was quite easy! it was going to the scrappy tho so we didnt put anything down for it to roll onto.

Aye, as long as you whack some truck style flaps on it for the rain. I think it looks awesome!

i know someone that has a capri pickup with 2 pipes comin up behind the driver and passenger seat that has 2 flaps to stop the rain going in. i thought that looked funny, this astra looks even more amusing.

Well,
Putting a stainless steel polished system+carbon box on there, means that I'm not going to drive it through the rain a lot,and .
It's supposed to be the back end of a flamer-kitted turbo-engine..so rain should normally evaporate before entering...
Also the two top silencers can be taken out,but when they're in the box, they downsize the diameter a lot....so rain should have it difficult to get in.
if someone gets close enough to get burned, they also are close enough to get a free hard-slap(if he/she is gonna sew me,I'm deffo first gonna get somethin' out of the money I've to spent afterwards)...

The car you see is a demolition (=my white, rusty lab rat)one,so I already cut off the top(read as:bottom plate was left only) ,and thereby tilted it on my own...
Oh yes,RIP ,whitey,on the llllllllllllllarge scrap yard in the sky(two minutes of silence,please...)
I always found it VERY sad, that people buy nice boxes, and then stow them away under the car...that's like an anodised lightweight flywheel or a coloured clutch...meaningless.
Thereby:who's gonna be noticed more:the one spitting flames on the floor,or the one spitting flames in the air?You decide.
Also:nowadays, all big jap drifters all have a side-exit exhaust(=the measily small pipe stickiing out of the side)...I just take things a little further... :)
