hi, im new to this site and i thought i should share my astra pics coz im proud of it...
i bought this about a year ago and it was in a real state, it had been stood since 1999. i paid £500 for it which i thought was expensive but the previous owner was gonna turn it into a rally car and i could see the potential and he knew what it was worth with the milage only being 42300 ish (dnt remember exactly now) and thats genuine and it still has standard tape player and brand new astra gte wheel in the boot with old tyre and the drivers seat isnt ripped either, i have all previous mot's and some service history up untill 1999. i dont know why but it had been stood in a field and hadnt moved for so long and the only reason i can think is it faild an mot or owner lost interest. it was started up every so often so it didnt seize up. it needed the usual, back arches and a sill. and new front wings but its just like driving a brand new car the gearbox and engine are mint, i only replaced hand brake and brake pads and disks for the mot and all it failed on was a tyre and number plate light not bad for a 17 year old car i thought. it cost me more to tax than mot. i finally got it resprayed a week ago and theres a few bits and bobs im not totally happy with it could be coz im a perfectionist the camera allways hides them tiny bits every owner knows is there. i previousloey owned a cav gsi which i rebuilt and i miss. let me know what u think. cheers
Sorry bout the crappy mg in the pics lol
