Thats Champagne Gold isnt it, GTE's in that colour are super rare! I've only seen one other mk2 that colour and that was a GTE convertible.
Just a touch of lowering would be the icing on the cake;)

Nice one mate, like the colour, enjoy!
Our 16v is the same colour (Rembrant silver) although it looks gold to me.
I'll try and get some pics on here, athough it dosen't look as good as yours because the rear arches are pretty bad. But it has only done 52k. I wonder how many were made(sold) in this colour?

nice, as said rare colour too :)
Thanks everyone.
Allan, It runs ok. I would love to put it on a rolling road to see what BHP it is at, although it is due an oil change etc. It's pretty quick. oh i forgot to mention that it has been de-cat'd, (by previous owner).
Grak, Does yours still have the gold (look) jack? It looks in good condition, and with only 52K on the clock, is class.
Can anyone find out how many of these were made/sold?????? I've only seen a couple of others.
Yes it still has it the original jack, wheel wrench, front towing eye, screw driver(reversible) & original spare wheel. From the look of it i don't think that the spare or any of the bits have ever been taken out or used, (one of the reasons why we bought the car) Lift up the boot carpet and it could almost be a new car. Pity about the rear arches!!
:D :) :D
It's a UNIROYAL rallye 195 / 65 R14
I have a 1990 Edition No. 1 Brochure for the Astra.
There is a picture in the back of the alloys from the 16v, i can just make out the tyre as a UNIROYAL rallye, but they describe it as a 185 / 65 R14, so i think it probably is the original tyre.
I've got the price guide to.
I zoomed in on a picture of the boot (to lazy to go look at the car)
so it might be 185 instead of 195
Theres a few gold ones by me.. nice colour, i stripped a gold one about a year ago, so hope is not a rare sought after one.. :D theres a few unusual colours for the 16v's... the non metallic aubragine is unusual, the gold and the metallic blue, i think most were burgandy, white, grey, black or red... the rest arnt quite as common..
