I started stripping the interior out of the astra today. All i've got left to do for the time being is take the front carpet out, the headlining, two pieces of plastic trim and the underbonnet sound deadening. That'll leave the dash, centre console and front seats. There werent to many surprises only found a couple of small holes that need plating.

Went for a drive and its bloody loud, need to get some ear plugs otherwise i'll be deaf by the time I get to santapod on sunday :D

Its all gone now, just needs the tar sort of sound deadening scraping out and a good clean.

you leaving it stripped then ?

blow torch and a paint scraper has that tar stuff up in a jiffy. then a rag with some thinners on to remove the remaning goo.

Yeah, its staying stripped. On the look out for some cheap buckets and harnesses now :)
