Seems most people on the forums I use are so thought I'd ask on here.

If you earn less that £18,860 gross p/a your now worse off than you were. The idea is tax credits make up for that in the lower paid sector of society.

So, if your like me, and you have no claim to tax credits, ie training for a career in the future taking lower pay now, have been responsible and worn a jonnie instead of churning out sprogs before you can adequately provide for them, your worse off!!!!

Well done mr brown, a budget for arse raping the socially responsible yougsters of this country.

oh dear, and small businesses got a pasting too didnt they, corporation tax up 2% to pay for cuts in the tax for the big plc's as the they try and attract fpreign investment.....

sad thing is in my experience (from companies i have run) is that the tax man will aim at the smaller companies and pay particular attention to their accounts as the large plc's or even larger private limited companies are too hard to monitor and breakdown!!

Damn right. I work for a fairly small profit family run business, we are targetted badly, 2 VAT inspections inside 18 months.

It just depresses me when I look into things like this. Therefore I put my head down and keep soldiering on. Theres nothing we can do, even when we petition against things (the shutting down of our local hospital - Frenchay Hospital and the new road tax scam, I mean scheme) it never achieves anything. Governments are supposed to govern our country in a way that best suits the needs of the people that live within it. Not to widen their pockets and to move thousands of additionalpeople into the country that decide to live on benefits.

I hate this country and certainly dont intend to live the entirity of my life here
