Spanish Astras, loadsa pics

My mate emigrated to Spain in February, so I went with him for the first two weeks he was out there.
While on holiday I spotted loads of Astras and noticed that most have mint arches. No doubt the bonus of living in a hot country. Enjoy the pics.
Some are not great as I did not have a lot of time to take them because I couldn't keep the people I was with waiting just so I could indulge in my Mk2 obsession.

Check out the dodgy parking. Bumpers are used for shunting other vehicles out the way in Spain.


My mate's bike. I think it's a Yamaha, but not really into bikes, so not sure.


I think this is a Honda Gullwing.


My Astra. The window isn't smashed, it's just the way the camera's caught the water on the window. It's awaiting some bodywork restoration at the mo.

Sorry, that didn't work. Here it is again.
Bodywork required is new sills and a rusty offside arch needs looking at, plus holes in the nearside A post. Will be sorted next month plus lots of other bits and bobs. Hopefully in time for PVS.

Some interesting pics there.

Maybe that's a good place to find a shell from then (obvious bulkhead issues to sort to convert to RHD though!

BazW: The orbs are water on my camera as it was a crap day. However, will be a very sunny day when I get the GTE back on the road.

It was so nice to see this many Astras in a decent condition.
Well, apart from all the ones on here, of course.
