I have only just started using this site properly so I'd jsut like to say hi to everyone.
Up until a month ago this was my astra SXi. Unfortunately I had to sell it :( . It originally had an 1800 8v (18se) engine in it which I ditched in favour of a C20XE last year.
If anyone is interested in the spec list then I'll happily write ip up at another time but I really can't be bothered right now :p .
Hope you like the pics

This was my first car. It was originally a 1200 8v merit.
I never did anything to the engine but it wasn't a bad first car. Unfortunately I wrapped it round a tree as you can see. Shame really as I never got any pics of it in one piece with the 17's on it.
Never mind, it spead up the process of getting a bigger engine, hence the SXi above :D
Oooh dear i hope nobody was in that passenger seat!! If its not somebody robbing a MK2 for its heart is someone smashing it around a tree lol. Was anyone hurt? Also, what are you driving at the mo ?

Thankfully there was no-one in the passenger seat. I had got a puncture in one of my 17's so put my steel spare on. a combination of a little too much speed, extremely greesy roads and a dodgy wheel resulted in me fishtailling it into a tree. :( Thank fully no-one was hurt. We lifted the car off the tree and drove it home (only about half a mile).

Yeah that was me at Billing. There is a pic of the car below when it was at the show.
Unfortunately I had to replace the wheels as the old ones we're buckled :( . Hence the change. I think it always looked best on the old wheels but let me know what you think.
As much as it embarresses me to admit it, I drive a Hyundai Getz now. It uses the amazing 1.1litre 12v power plant and has a 0-60 of about half an hour. I do a lot of miles to and from work unfortunately so needed to get something boring and reliable. It is only a cheap car and has 5 years warranty as well as a years free insurance (It even does 50mpg).
The idea behind getting the Getz is that I'll buy myself an astra to play with later on this year once I have sorted out my finances. It also means that my TOY won't get ruined driving to and from work everyday. :D

Oh and I just realised that I can copy my spec list from Migweb :D
Here ya go:
Engine:
I have fitted a C20XE, it has a Coscast head with a Courtney Chip and high torque Cams. Unfortunatley it is still using my original 8v exhaust system and peco rear box.
Transmission
Standard 5 speed gearbox (F20) that came with the engine
Suspension
Standard Gas shocks all round, lowered 35mm on Spax springs. Front upper and lower OMP stut braces and rear OMP stut brace. Rear beam changed for 16v jobbie which has more negative camber (which = better handling + less scrubbing) and which means I have rear disc brakes.
Brakes
Front brakes are Standard 288mm vented discs with ATE callipers (same as GTE 16v). The rear drum brakes have been replaced with 16v GTE items. Standard Lucas discs and pads all round, All four calipers have been painted gold.
Wheels & Tyres
Kyowa racing 5 spoke 7x17" alloys, et42 with Avon ZZ-1 tyres.
Styling
GTE side skirts, GTE bonnet (with vents painted metallic grey), GTE rear light clusters, GTE rear rub strip attached under standard rear SXi rear bumper, New front wings with no ariel hole and indicators positioned lower than normal, Focus crystal side repeaters, Lexmaul/Kamei meshed grill, Quad head light conversion, Mk 2 Golf indicators with clear lenses fitted in rub strip of front bumper, Modified SXi bumper corner splitters and a cut out and meshed grill, Grey pinstripe which follows the swage line allong the wings and under the windows, Bee sting ariel, Solex door locks, Shiny bonnet lifters, MIG club sticker!!
Interior
Standard Black and Red SXi recaro's (Much nicer than the GTE interiors), Momo Race steering wheel, Richbrook Gear nob, Conrero gear stick gaitor, dodgy yellow clock replaced with standard black and white clock. Speaker pods fitted to door cards to fit components in.
ICE & Security
Pioneer head unit (the one with race cars and flying eagles on the screen), Pioneer Co-axials in standard under dash position, Pioneer 5" components in pods on doors, Pioneer 6x9" speakers in parcel shelf, pioneer 4x100 Watt amp, Pioneer 12" Sub.
Cobra Cat 1 alarm fitted.
Performance
0-60 of about 7.3-7.6 seconds. Unsure of power as I aint had it rolling roaded but should be around 160 bhp 175 Lbft of torque. Prob no anywhere near as good as that though as it could do with a decent exhaust.
