Strange feeling

Just popped the bonnet on my astra to make sure I have the brake pad wear sensor wires fitted still (yes )(and yes I am bidding for them on ebay ) and thought something was wrong with my bonnet.

It seemed very heavy and not right....












Then I remembered I have removed my bonnet lifters and fitted the standard stay.

Will have to get use to that otherwise the bonnet will land on my head

I ued to have a bedford CF with really rusty hinges, a lot of the time it went up and stayed up but one day I forgot to make sure it had locked over and before i knewit I had the pin in the nape of my neck, 2 weeks off work with a pretty bad case of neckache....

hmmmm working under the bonnet and the bonnet fell on my head / neck!
Think bonnet lifters are needed asap! [cos the plastic metal arm stay broke off some time ago leaving the arm free to prop]
